Circulation news      Library guide: Circulation Guide Oct. 2010 Reader's cards 2010/2011 updates      More information Contact information Students' contact information is automatically downloaded from the university's students administration and can be updated through the Information for HUJI students site (except for the email). Please let us know of additional contact information (temporary address, office ...) HUJImail: email for students The university e-mail address assigned to you (yourname@mail.huji.ac.il) serves as the sole address to which the Library Authority will send messages. This e-mail address will remain active until the end of your studies at the Hebrew University. (More Information) Validity The validity of the mathematics and Computer science students reader's cards will be updated automatically. The rest of the readers have to update their reader's card for 2010/2011. Please show your university I.D. card    (valid for 2010/2011). Reader's cards can be opened until 3:30 PM. If your card hasn't been updated by Dec. 31st, 2010, you will no longer be able to renew or borrow books.

General announcements April 4th, 2006 In memoriam: Katja Mosnaim (1923-2005)      More information The library staff is saddened over the passing of Katja Mosnaim, who served as library director between 1954-1981. May 3rd, 2005   כ"ד בניסן, תשס"ה Memory in color: An exhibition of Ms. Mosnaim's paintings was held in her memory (May 19th-June 15th, 2006) Oct. 23rd, 2000 Special reprint collection moved and rearranged      More information The library's special collection of reprints in mathematics, dating from the late 19th and 20th centuries, has been moved from the basement and rearranged. The collection has been arranged in the room adjacent to the photocopy machine in the library's 1st floor. The 332 Boxes (containing about 16,000 reprints) are arranged by author. Each box has a list attached to it of the authors it contains. An index list of about 6,000 authors arranged by box number is available. Historical Background: At first, the library was located on Mount Scopus. During the war of independence, the institute moved to a side annex in the King David Hotel, and the researchers were disconnected from the library. It became very difficult to obtain material from it. Sometimes, someone would go with the armored convoy to Mount Scopus in order to take things from the library. During this time a reprint collection was created and organized in order to give access to the material.
