ULI - Israel Union List    (New interface):    Hebrew    English    (Feb. 2011)      More information

This interface is based on the Vufind open source software.
This program provides a graphical and modern user interface allowing to narrow down search results by different facets in an easy and convenient way.

New ALEPH-based ULE    (Sept. 2009)      More information

The old Classic ULE site is being phased out. ULE is now an ALEPH subset of ULS.
The ULE html site will continue to exist to provide explanatory information, links to the TDNET and ALEPH versions and to present the monthly additions, changes and deletions pages.

Google Scholar links to ULI    (Feb. 9th, 2006)      More information

Google Scholar includes a feature which identifies the country of the searcher and provides links to the national union catalog.

Searchers from Israel will be offered links "Find in Israel ULI"

and note that most of the result items have links to ULI.

These are proven item links, not searches of uncertain results. They are based on data provided from ULI to Google. This data will be updated on a monthly basis.

The links are based on the ISBNs of the records in ULI, and therefore ULI records without ISBNs are not included. It is possible therefore that the "Find in Israel ULI" will retrieve fewer holding libraries than would be found in ULI searching by author or title.

Currently Google Scholar does not include Hebrew material.

ULI Aleph 500 upgrading    (August 2005)      More information

The ULI has been upgraded to the Aleph 500 computer program and offers various browse and keyword search options.
The results can be sorted by library code and, in a suborder, by book title.

Please note that all Hebrew University libraries appear with a single code: HUJI Hebrew U.

Library of Congress Authorities      More information

As of the end of December 2005, the local MRC, LCN and LCS files are no longer updated.
Network libraries are entitled to access the OCLC versions of these databases via z39.50 (Bibliographic only) or Connexion client (Bibliographic and Authorities)
