WORKSHOP ON RIEMANN SURFACE THEORY

May 31 -- June 2, 1999

As a sequel to the Midrasha Mathematical 1999 program, which is a school in Riemann surface theory, we announce the workshop on Riemann Surface Theory which will focus on current research revolving around the theory of Riemann surfaces.

THE HEBREW UNIVERSITY OF JERUSALEM

The Einstein Institute of Mathematics

and

The Edmund Landau Center for Research in

Mathematical Analysis & Related Areas

will be sponsoring a

Workshop on Riemann Surface Theory

with special emphasis on the Theory of Theta Functions

in honor of the 60th birthday of Hershel Farkas

The workshop will take place on

May 31--June 2, 1999

at the Institute of Mathematics, Givat Ram, Jerusalem

(Lectures will take place in Room 110, Math. Bldg.)
