The main math department server math.huji.ac.il is Scientific Linux 4 machine (1400MHz CPUx2, 2Gb mem)The main services work through this server, e.g.:
To connect to math.huji.ac.il, you no longer use telnet, use only Security Shell (ssh) since telnet is closed on it.

SSH Client for PC - Download
The Solaris Server sundial.ma.huji.ac.il will continue to work as before. It is a Sun Fire V250 2x1.28GHz Ultra SPARC computer, with 2000Mb of RAM. It runs under the operating system Solaris 9, a variant of UNIX.

Laptop Internet Access
Two Internet access routes for laptops are available in the library:Other Computer resources in the library
- Network ports (and electricity): In the library's 1st floor, Mathematics periodicals room

HUJI e-mail accounts
As of the 2007/8 academic year e-mail accounts with HUJI addresses, username@mail.huji.ac.il, were opened in GMAIL for all students registered at the university.
- All formal messages from the university (including the libraries) are directed to this address only.

- Messages from the Mathematics Institute will continue to be directed to the email provided to Lena.
- You can forward your emails from one account to the other automatically. Please contact Lena if you need help.
